church consulting
one thing that has become increasingly clear to me recently is that i am called to the church (both in the u.s. and globally). and there are very few things that feel like a perfect fit for my experience, abilities and passion than working with individual churches to help them assess and ideate in the area of youth and young adult ministry.
some of the services i can provide for churches are:
- assessement and evaluation of current youth ministry and/or youth ministry staff.
- annual review process and facilitation for church staff or youth ministry staff.
- leading group discussions toward a more intentional approach to youth ministry.
- meeting one-on-one with youth ministry staff or church leadership to dialogue about youth culture, youth ministry, and change.
- providing ideas for change or re-tooling of the church youth and young adult ministries.
- help with the process of hiring a youth worker.
my church consulting can be take the form of a short, intense visit, or a longer, ongoing relationship.
here’s what a couple church leaders have said about the church consulting i’ve provided for them:
Marko has the unique ability to quickly discern organizational dynamics and suggest practical next steps. As our consultant, he helped us clarify our task, identify hidden obstacles, and gain the confidence to move forward. I recommend Mark Oestreicher to any church or organization that is serious about reaching the emerging generation.
- Dr. Scott McKee, Senior Pastor, Ward Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Northville, MIMark is a wise man. He is able to take his years of ministering to youth and the Church at large and practically apply what he knows in real settings. If you have an issue, he can deconstruct it, bring wisdom to it, and partner with you to address it.
- Fr. Reynold Furrell, Pastor, Holy Trinity Church, Ladera Ranch, CA
